Drohobych Community Delivers Sweets and Gifts to Children in Frontline Areas of Zaporizhzhia Region

Ahead of the Christmas holidays, the Drohobych community extended humanitarian aid to children in the frontline areas of the Zaporizhzhia region. A truck loaded with sweets, blankets, and toys was sent to educational and extracurricular institutions in the Voznesenskyi district.

What Did the Aid Include?

  • Sweets from Poland: The humanitarian aid was gathered with support from Krakow. Polish sweets were distributed among students of Drohobych Gymnasium No. 9, Saturday School pupils, and children from Roma families. Part of the cargo was sent to the Zaporizhzhia direction, which recently suffered from shelling.
  • Blankets and toys: These were purchased with charitable donations collected by local government employees.

How Was the Aid Delivered?

The humanitarian cargo was delivered through the charity fund “Faith in Ukraine,” and the gifts have already reached their recipients.

A Thank-You Through Carols

Children from the vocal group “Palette of Sounds” in Voznesenskyi district recorded online carols as a gesture of gratitude to the people of Drohobych for their support and kindness.

Mayor of Drohobych Taras Kuchma commented:
“I sincerely thank the children for their warm carols, genuine joy, and kind hearts. I also extend my gratitude to the volunteers for their tireless work and unconditional love for Ukraine.”

This initiative exemplifies the unity and support that Ukrainians continue to share during challenging times.
