Over UAH 460 million in six months: how Lviv community helps the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The Lviv community continues to support the Ukrainian army. As Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi summed up, since the beginning of 2024, UAH 463 million has been transferred from the city budget to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This includes the purchase of various machinery and equipment, as well as subventions for this purpose.
“Time flies by like crazy. Six months have passed. But there is a good result of #PomistaLeva. It is worth sharing it so that everyone knows where our taxes go! After all, all the equipment we buy as part of this campaign is from the Lviv budget,” said Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi.
The procurement includes 7253 drones and UAVs, 46 different vehicles and special equipment, 39 electronic warfare systems, etc. In total, by the end of 2024, more than UAH 1 billion will be allocated from the city budget to support the Armed Forces.
As a reminder, Lviv constantly allocates funds for defence and support of the military defending Ukraine from Russian occupants. In accordance with the city’s programme of support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, at the request of military brigades and units, the city buys what is urgently needed at the front line or provides subventions for it. These are drones, cars, radios, and various specialised technical items. The purchases are made as part of the Lion’s Revenge initiative.
