“Water quality testing is also very important in wartime, a time of possible sabotage, contamination and infection of water. Thus, it helps to avoid the spread of diseases that can be caused by water pollution.
Today, we order water quality tests for a large number of indicators from third-party laboratories. We have contracts with the laboratory of Lviv Medical University and Euroecoscope LLC. However, the testing time can take several days.
Therefore, we need to purchase a modern spectrophotometer for one of our laboratories for water quality testing. This equipment will allow us to reduce the time required for testing from several days to 10 minutes. This means that we will be able to analyse water quality for more than 30 chemical parameters in the shortest possible time.
We already have several commercial offers. The cheapest are spectrophotometers from ALSI Ltd. Its cost with test kits and standard solutions is UAH 1.2 million. However, the service life of the device itself is virtually unlimited, it can operate for decades,” says Lvivvodokanal.
