As reported by the Department of Housing and Infrastructure of the LMR, as of now, 109 units of large snow removal equipment and more than 1,500 janitors are working on the streets of the city. To clean sidewalks and public transport stops, janitors use 43 motoblocks.
“In the morning, there was an air alarm, so the workers of communal services, in particular the janitors, actively started work after the blackout, because we have to take care of safety.
As of now, the equipment of our ShRP, as well as the equipment of management companies, is involved in cleaning the city from snow.
1511 janitors work. Janitors use walk-behind tractors to clean sidewalks and public transport stops,” the Department of Housing and Infrastructure reported.
Instead, 34 sand throwers, 5 loaders, 29 tractors, 2 graders and 9 sweepers worked at night. 315 m3 of sand mixture and 89.2 tons of salt were used for sprinkling roads.
Traditionally, bridges, intersections, and other places where there was freezing were sprinkled. In the morning, janitors clean public transport stops and sidewalks.
We remind you that Lviv’s snow removal equipment works around the clock, so it is ready to leave for cleaning at any time.
This year, 136 units of municipal equipment will be used to clean the city, and there are also contracts for the involvement of private equipment.
