School buses were purchased at the expense of the co-financing of the educational subvention from the state budget, the regional budget and the funds of territorial communities.
Today, December 19, the head of the Lviv OVA handed over the keys and documents to the “Shkolaryk” buses to the representatives of 10 TGs. In total, Lviv Region purchased 126 buses.
However, due to constant enemy attacks and difficult working conditions, Lviv Oblast will receive 80 vehicles by the end of the year. Another 46 will be transferred in the first quarter of 2023.
“It is symbolic that on St. Nicholas Day we have the opportunity to entertain the heads of the TG, and they, for their part, the children. Today, communities will receive 10 buses, by the end of the year – 24 more. 7 – specialized and 17 ordinary. In this difficult time, even without electricity, vehicles are manufactured in Cherkasy so that children can comfortably get to school. I hope that in the first quarter of next year, we will be able to implement this contract, and in the next – to completely close the Lviv region’s need for school buses,” Maksym Kozytsky emphasized.
We will remind that part of the community’s old buses were given to the needs of the Armed Forces, while another part needs to be replaced due to a long service life. The new “schoolboys” are made by a Ukrainian manufacturer, using a maximum of Ukrainian parts.
This time, the “schoolchildren” were handed over to Horodotsk, Brodivsk, Starosambir, Borynsk, Biskovytsk, Stryi, Slavsk, Solonkiv, Sudovovyshnyansk and Shegynivsk communities.
By the way, three communities received the previous batch of school buses, as well as Levenya National Center, which received 1 specialized vehicle for transporting children with disabilities.
