In Lviv, at a plenary meeting of the city council, a list of places for unloading and parking electric scooters was approved.
It is about 79 locations located mainly in the central part of the city. And also – in the area of suburban and railway stations and the SKA sports complex. Operators of rental stations must conclude appropriate agreements with the management of communal property and pay to the city budget funds for the rental of these places.
“Today, the list of places for unloading and parking electric scooters in Lviv was approved. E-scooter rental operators – “E-Wings” and “Bolt” – are obliged to enter into appropriate contracts for the lease of structural elements of landscaping, so that this activity is taxed and the funds for the rental of places occupied by scooters go to the city budget.
Also, the relevant district administrations should mark these places,” said Oleg Zabarylo.
The official reminded that last year the city and operators of electric scooter rental services in Lviv signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The document was approved by the decision of the executive committee.
“It regulates many issues related to the activity of renting electric scooters. These are speed limits, determination of locations for unloading, and other both advisory and mandatory norms, which operators of electric scooter rental services must follow,” Oleg Zabarylo added.
