Operational information as of 06.00 04.07.2023 regarding the Russian invasion
Glory to Ukraine! The four hundred and eighth day of large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against our state has begun. During the past day, the enemy launched 5 missile and 18 air strikes, fired 53 rocket salvo fire systems at the positions of our troops and the civilian infrastructure of populated areas. The probability of launching missile and air strikes remains high throughout the territory of Ukraine. The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiiv and Marin directions – more than 40 enemy attacks were repulsed in the past day. On the Volyn, Poliske, Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. The Russian Federation continues to use the airspace and territory of the Republic of Belarus. At the same time, no signs of formations of enemy offensive groups were found. The enemy will continue to maintain a military presence in the Kursk and Belgorod regions bordering Ukraine. During the past day, the enemy shelled the settlements of Leonivka, Gremyach, Novovasylivka of the Chernihiv region; Progress, Zarutske, Rivne, Volfyne, as well as Veterinarne, Neskuchne, Ohirtseve, Tyche, Zybine, Bochkove, Budarky, Vilkhuvatka, Chugunivka, Zarubinka, Bologhivka, Staritsa, Kolodyazne settlements in Kharkiv region. Topoli, Figolivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Lyman First, Krokhmalne, Berestov in the Kharkiv region and Novoselivske in the Luhansk region came under enemy fire in the Kupyansk direction. In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the areas of Kreminna and Spirne settlements last day. Nevske, Dibrova, Belogorivka of Luhansk region and Terna, Spirne and Rozdolivka – Donetsk region were subjected to artillery shelling. In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy continues to conduct offensive actions, tries to take full control of the city of Bakhmut, fierce battles continue. During the past day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of the settlements of Orihovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka and Bila Gora. Units of the defense forces repelled 16 enemy attacks on this part of the front. Vasyukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Novodmytrivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Diliivka and Shumy of the Donetsk region suffered from enemy shelling. On the Avdiyiv and Marinsk directions, the enemy carried out offensive actions in the Novokalynove, Severna, Pervomaiske and Marinka districts of the Donetsk region, without success. The fiercest battles on the indicated section of the front continue for Maryinka, where 19 enemy attacks were repulsed. At the same time, Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Netaylove, Pervomaiske, Maryinka and Pobyeda came under enemy fire. During the day, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Shakhtarsky direction. He shelled the settlements of Vugledar, Prechistivka and Velika Novosilka of the Donetsk region. In the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson directions, the enemy continues to build up defensive lines and positions in terms of fortification. Fired more than 20 settlements. Among them are Vremivka of Donetsk region; Gulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Gulyaipilske, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilivka, Novoandriivka and Kamianske of the Zaporizhzhia region, as well as Antonivka and Kherson. In the settlements of the Dzhankoy district of the temporarily occupied Crimea, the Russian invaders involve the local population in the construction of fortifications. It is known that men are mainly involved in engineering work, most of whom are drug addicts and people with alcohol addiction. The occupiers promise the workers a monetary reward, but the people do not receive it, or they do not receive it in full. There have been recorded cases when deceived people refuse to cooperate further, after which armed occupiers forcibly force them to dig trenches. Over the past day, the Air Force of the Defense Forces has struck 6 areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the occupiers. In addition, our defenders destroyed 3 UAVs of different types (“Orlan-10”, “Supercam” and “Lancet-3”), as well as 3 modified aerial bombs. At the same time, units of rocket troops and artillery hit 2 areas of concentration of enemy manpower, 2 warehouses of fuel and lubricating materials and an enemy electronic warfare station.
