We are saddened to announce the disappointing news for the Belz community.
Yesterday, on 26 August 2024, a serviceman, a native of Uhnov, Andrii Osmilovskyi, born on 14.02.1992, died, the Belz City Council reported.
The hero served in the military unit 2144 and was temporarily on leave at home, where his heart stopped.
We express our condolences to the soldier’s parents Svitlana Petrivna and Yuriy Ivanovych, children Danylo and Solomiya, as well as to all his family, friends and colleagues.
Grief has enveloped yet another family in our community, and there are no words to express the pain of losing a hero. War takes away lives not only on the battlefield, but even within the walls of your own home. We pray that the Lord will support Andriy Osmilovskyi’s family in this difficult time.
The meeting of the Hero and the funeral ceremony will take place tomorrow, 28.08.2024, tentatively at the beginning of Uhniv at 10.00 – 10.30
The soldier will be buried in his native Uhniv. Please pay your respects to the Hero and accompany him on his last journey to the place of eternal rest. Heroes do not die…
