Hero Stankevych Marian Zinoviyovych, born in 1980, has passed away in the Heavenly Legion.

In the Kursk region, a defender from Zavyshnia, Marian Stankevych, was killed while performing a combat mission
The defender was born in Zavyshnia and lived in Chervonohrad. On 24 August, Marian Stankevych, a soldier, sapper of the engineering and demining unit of the military unit A7074, was killed during a combat mission near the village of Hlushkovo, Kursk region, Russian Federation.
On 29 August, the Hero Marian Stankevych returned to his native community forever. After the meeting with the Hero, the funeral service and funeral rites will begin at 14:30 in the Church of St Josaphat in Chervonohrad. In connection with the death of Marian Stankevych during a combat mission in the Russian-Ukrainian war, a day of mourning was declared on 29 August in the Chervonohrad community.
We bow low to the Defender, to whom we all owe a debt of gratitude. We express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the Hero. We share the pain of irreparable loss and bow our heads in grief.
The soldier will be buried in the cemetery in the village of Zavyshen.
He was called up for military service on 06 March 2022 and served Ukraine faithfully. He died during the fighting in the Kursk region. The Hero is survived by his mother Liubov Mykolaivna, wife Nataliia, daughters Yana and Sofia.
We ask the community to meet our Hero and give him a decent send-off, because he gave the most valuable thing – his own life – for our independence and for each of us.
It is our duty to remember the extremely high price of our independence and freedom. May he rest in peace and receive eternal glory.
