From March 15 to 18, more than 400 wrestlers from 23 regions of the country competed in Poltava.
National teams of the Lviv region were among the winners in the overall team standings.
Lviv girls showed that they are invincible in the fight. 9 out of 12 female cadets who represented the team from the Lviv Professional College of Sports won prizes, and the women’s wrestling team took first place overall.
The gold of the competition was won by Daryna Zaishla, who took first place in the 65 kg category. Victoria Prystanska, Ivanna Lukyanenko, Iryna Borysyuk and Nadia Sokolovska became vice-champions in their weight categories.
The cadets also demonstrated high results, taking second place in the team standings. Immediately three wrestlers became champions of Ukraine. Ivan Zalisko, Ruslan Kit, as well as Yehor Gorokh won gold in their categories. Bronze medalists were Anatoliy Kostenyuk, Timur Galushka and Vitaly Mukhodinov.
Such victories became possible thanks to persistent training and leadership of leading coaches Orest Skobelsky, Viktor Hlibenko, Oleksandr Rakovsky, Vitaly Borysenko and Serhiy Slyusarenko.
