The European Canoeing, Kayak, Para-canoe and Stand Up Paddleboard Championships are taking place in Szeged, Hungary, from 13 to 16 June.
Oleksandr Zaitsev, an athlete from Lviv Region, won the 200m kayak single event. The athlete is a representative of the Lviv Regional School of Higher Sportsmanship.
“The Rowing Euros in Szeged are really big. Athletes from 36 countries are competing in the kayaking and canoeing events, representatives from 17 countries are competing in the paracanoe, and athletes from 21 European countries are competing in the SUP European Championships,” said Roman Khimyak, Head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
