In the city of Orlando (USA), the Warrior Games (Warrior Games 2022) are ongoing, in which Lviv residents are also taking part. Our boys – Serhiy Kalytyuk, Viktor Legkodukh and Ihor Galushka – won nine medals during 4 competitive days.
Achievements of Lviv athletes-warriors:
5 gold medals – 4 medals for rowing on a simulator (2 Ihor Galushka and 2 Viktor Legkodukh) and 1 – for shot put (Serhiy Kalityuk).
2 silver medals – for handbikes in different disciplines (1 Viktor Legkodukh and 1 Serhiy Kalytiuk).
3 bronze medals – for handbike in various disciplines (1 Viktor Legkodukh and 1 Serhiy Kalytiuk).
As a reminder, Warrior Games is a multi-sport event for wounded or ill servicemen and veterans, organized by the US Department of Defense. Approximately 300 people participate in the Warrior Games in the United States. Serhiy Kalytyuk, Viktor Legkodukh, Ihor Galushka, Dmytro Afanasyev and Oleksandr Zastavskyi represent Lviv Oblast in various sports.
