20 wounded from Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions were taken to the First Medical Association of Lviv by a special medical train. Most are of moderate severity after mine injuries, and five are in critical condition.
“Our medical association has hospitalized 20 patients, 5 of whom are in serious condition, others in moderate condition. This time – all adults, no children, “- said Andrew Lavrik, Deputy Director of Surgery of the ambulance hospital.
The victims, who were taken to Lviv, have various injuries as a result of a mine blast injury, closed craniocerebral injuries, shrapnel wounds to the abdominal organs, as well as traumatic limb amputations.
The youngest patient is 30 years old, and the oldest is 89. Everyone is already receiving the necessary treatment in surgical, traumatological and therapeutic hospitals.
By the way, during the war more than two thousand wounded were evacuated to hospitals in Lviv from different cities of Ukraine, which are constantly shelled by the Russian occupiers. Medical special trains are accompanied by Médecins Sans Frontières.
“Thanks to the work of such evacuation trains, patients have the opportunity to receive quality medical care in institutions far from the front line,” – say doctors.
