On May 29, a 28-year-old resident of Stebnyk, Drohobych district, reported to the operational line 102 with a report of theft of jewelry, equipment and other property from his home.
An investigative task force and employees of other services of the Drohobych District Police Department worked at the scene. The measures taken by the criminal police operatives established that a 26-year-old resident of Drohobych was involved in the theft, and detained him in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
In fact, investigators of the territorial police department opened a criminal case under Part 4 of Article 185 (Theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of five to eight years. The court will soon choose a measure of restraint for the perpetrator.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
