Declaration of Unregistered Weapons in Lviv Region
Lviv police are urging residents to declare unregistered weapons. Since the beginning of the unregistered weapons declaration campaign, 97 citizens have contacted police departments in the Lviv region, declaring 105 units of firearms. Including:
- 21 rifles
- 8 carbines
- 2 units of combined weapons
- 60 shotguns
- 10 pistols and revolvers
Nearly 23,500 rounds of various calibers have also been declared.
Legislative Foundation and Addresses for Declaration
Let’s recall that the Law of Ukraine “On Ensuring the Participation of Civilians in the Defense of Ukraine”, which came into effect on November 25, 2024, provides the legal basis for not holding an individual liable for storing weapons without the proper permission, and also strengthens the control mechanism over the circulation of weapons.
If you find firearms or ammunition, you need to declare them immediately. This can be done at the departments of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region at the following addresses:

We emphasize that an individual who voluntarily comes to the specified addresses to declare a weapon stored without the proper permission will not be held criminally liable and will have the opportunity to register the declared weapon.
