The project is aimed at expanding access to medical services in the territory of Lviv region for female veterans, defenders, mothers, girls and other relatives of veterans, female veterans, Defenders and Defenders, including fallen, captured and missing.
The “Medical Lviv region – Defenders” network will be represented by health care institutions of various ownership (clinics, laboratories, offices, etc.) that offer free or discounted services for Defenders and family members of Defenders and Defenders as a symbol of gratitude, care for them and social responsibility to society.
The project is aimed at expanding access to medical services in the territory of Lviv region for female veterans, defenders, mothers, girls and other relatives of veterans, female veterans, Defenders and Defenders, including fallen, captured and missing.
Also, as part of the project, they plan to organize 8 meetings with representatives of the authorities and medical institutions, to hold personal meetings with representatives of the medical business of Lviv region, to form a network of medical institutions by signing memoranda on the provision of free/discounted services. In total, they plan to sign 40 memoranda with medical institutions.
The map of institutions will be placed on the resources of partners and authorities.
It should be noted that in April of this year Lviv Oblast approved a regional action plan for the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 “Women, peace, security”, adapted to the conditions of a full-scale war.
In order to facilitate the effective implementation of the Resolution, the “Lviv region-1325” Coalition operates in the region, which works with the support of the Ukrainian Women’s Fund. To implement the Regional Action Plan, member organizations of the Coalition “Lviv Region-1325” – NGO “First Women’s Veteran Space “ReHab”, NGO “Families of Fallen Heroes of Lviv Region”, NGO “Center for Assistance to Families of ATO Participants”, with the support of the Ukrainian Women’s Fund launched the network “Medical Lviv Region – Zahysnytsiam”. In addition, the work of such a network will be a helpful factor in the implementation of the Concept of supporting the Defenders of Ukraine in the territory of Lviv region in the field of rehabilitation and health care.

Currently, cooperation has been established with the Novo Medical Center to provide high-tech medical services for UBD participants and families of missing persons under special circumstances. There is an opportunity to get a free examination of such expensive procedures as: magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computer tomography (CT), endoscopy, ultrasound diagnostics (USD), and the possibility of consulting specialist doctors.
Also, the First Women’s Veteran’s Space “ReHab” together with the ENT Center “Lviv Regional Clinical Perinatal Center” continues to provide free consultations and examinations at the gynecologist, ultrasound and mammography for the families of defenders.
We remind you that by order of the head of the regional military administration dated 24.10.2022 No. 513/0/5-22BA, the Concept of supporting the Defenders of Ukraine on the territory of Lviv Oblast was approved. Also, by order No. 457/0/5-23BA dated June 16, 2023, the Action Plan for the implementation of the Concept of Support for Defenders of Ukraine on the territory of Lviv Oblast was approved.
