The purpose of the event is to raise funds for pickup trucks for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This Sunday, May 28, Lviv residents and guests of the city are invited to a charity concert by Honored Artist of Ukraine Taras Kompanichenko and the band Khorey Kozatsky. Monuments of Ukrainian cultural heritage – poetry and music of Russia-Ukraine – will be performed. “Khoreya Kozatska” is an ancient music collective that performs compositions from different eras – the Ukrainian Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque, Classicism.
Taras Kompanichenko is a modern kobzar, a brother of the Kobzar workshop in Kyiv, a soloist of the international choir “Academy of Traditions”, a performer of the traditional authentic Kobzar repertoire, performing dumas, ancient cantas, Zaporozhian songs, spiritual psalms, knightly songs and his own epic compositions. At the same time, he is an Honored Artist of Ukraine, the founder and leader of the band “Khoreya Kozatska”, and also a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“We are pleased to invite this group to Lviv so that Lviv residents and guests of the city have the opportunity to hear ancient Ukrainian music found in the archives. This music was created by our ancestors, it is our wealth and memory, so we must honor it and spread it for new generations of Ukrainians,” says Andriy Dyachishyn, head of the “Always Ukraine” Charitable Foundation.
The charity concert will take place in the premises of the Victoria Gardens shopping center. Free entrance. Start at 17:00. The event was organized by the “Always Ukraine” charitable foundation.
We will remind you that this year, Taras Kompanichenko and the performers of the band “Khoreya Kozatska” were named laureates of the Shevchenko Prize in the nomination “Musical Art” for the audio album “Songs of the Ukrainian Revolution” by the Committee on the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine.
