A conductor from Sweden will give a single concert in the Lviv Organ Hall

On May 14, “Songs of the North Sea” will come to life on the stage of the Organ Hall, performed by the Homin male choir, conducted by Daniel Hansson. The program of the concert, proposed by the conductor, tells about the history and culture of the peoples of the Nordic countries – distant for us in terms of territory, but close in spirit.

Swedish conductor Daniel Hansson, a frequent guest of Ukraine, even in the conditions of martial law, and a good friend of the Lviv Organ Hall, is preparing a new program for Lviv residents and guests of the city of works of Scandinavian choral music, depicting the history of the peoples of Sweden, Denmark and Finland.

These are songs about warlike Vikings and indomitable sailors, about harsh seas, glaciers and winds. In the concert, ancient stories will come to life: for example, two works by Olaf Trygvason – a Viking captured in Kyiv, or a hymn that sailors dedicated to the “star of the sea”. Guests will have the opportunity to “visit” the island with the legendary name of Saga near Iceland and “hear” the sea in the morning and at midnight, under the glow of the full moon.

Only one such concert is scheduled, so don’t miss this truly unique opportunity from the Organ Hall on May 14 at 7 p.m.

In the event of an air alert, the concert will be interrupted, and guests will be asked to move to a safe place.
