Ukrainians have faced the unresolved question of national identity for many years, even centuries. Modern warfare is also a war of identity. Without identity, there is no independence, no freedom. At the basis of the identity of all nations and at all times is cultural uniqueness. But do we know our true culture?

The presence of Ukrainian territories within the borders of different empires has caused a situation where we know about ourselves from the mouths of others. Getting rid of colonial narratives (myths, stereotypes) is the first step to self-knowledge. At the same time, having destroyed the existing myth, do we have anything to oppose it? And for what?

“We invite you to the Hotkevich Palace on May 6 at 4:00 p.m. to a conversation with Oksana Darmoriz about the real us, without layers, distortions, and without decorations.

Entrance is free, upon prior registration: https://forms.gle/ErCZWBRvxtUUSsSNA”, – inform the organizers of the event.
