A performative work about war is being presented in Lviv

On October 17 at 6:00 p.m., the presentation of the performative work “Chronicles of War, Love and Hate” will take place at the Lviv Theater named after Les Kurbas. Entrance to the event is free, but you need to register in advance (the number of places is limited).

After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the “We: Media Theater” team documented the war in various regions of the country, from the de-occupied Kyiv region and Kherson, to front-line Kharkiv, post-blockade Chernihiv to rear Lviv. In order to make sense of the lived experience and recorded stories, to voice difficult topics and questions, the authors of the project turn to performative practices and, based on the collected documentary videos and their experience of living in war, created a performative installation “Chronicles of War, Love and Hate”. The work combines documentary video materials, instrumental music, folk singing and reflective texts of the film crew. The director of the project is Sashko Brama.

The project is being implemented with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Fund #запидтримкиUKF
