US Special Envoy Penny Pritzker on Lviv: “I look forward to continuing our cooperation” (video)
Last week, Penny Pritzker, the US representative for the economic recovery of Ukraine, visited Lviv on her first official visit, during which she held many important meetings to strengthen cooperation between the countries. Yesterday, she published a video summarizing her visit.
“I visited Lviv for the first time – a city and region that experienced 13 days of horror, as Russia continues to inflict brutal missile and drone strikes on critical infrastructure. Despite this, Lviv, like many other cities of Ukraine, continues to demonstrate firmness, determination and ingenuity, which strengthen my confidence in the economic recovery of Ukraine.
During my visit, I met with Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadov, chef Yevhen Klopotenko, and entrepreneurs and innovators who will contribute to the country’s economic recovery. From getting Ukrainian borscht on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list, from IT startups to local government leaders, their commitment is truly inspiring. I know that working together with the US, the EU, the global private sector and others, we can achieve extraordinary goals.
The United States remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine’s economic recovery and growth. We understand the serious challenges that Ukraine is currently facing, and we are committed to supporting you in Lviv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Dnipro and throughout Ukraine.
Thank you for the warm welcome in Lviv. It was an honor to visit your beautiful city, especially now, and I look forward to continuing our cooperation. Glory to Ukraine,” said Penny Pritzker.
We will remind you that Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy, during a meeting with the US representative for the economic recovery of Ukraine, told her about the military developments of Ukrainian production, the UNBROKEN ecosystem and the Cities4Cities initiative.
