Спалив свою співмешканку живцем – дрогобичанину винесено вирок

A 43-year-old man was found guilty of premeditated murder (paragraph 4, part 2, article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) at the public indictment of the prosecutors of the Drohobytsk District Prosecutor’s Office.

He was sentenced to 13 years in prison.

Prosecutors proved in court that in May 2022 in Drohobych, the accused brutally killed his roommate.

That day there was a conflict between them. In the course of an argument, while in the room of his own house, the accused doused a 40-year-old woman with gasoline and set her on fire. Then he pushed the latter out into the yard, where he again doused her with gasoline, which caused a stronger fire.

Eyewitnesses called the police and an ambulance. However, the victim later died in the hospital from the burns she received.

The man will be in custody until the verdict becomes final.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the Drohobytsky district police department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region.
