The prosecutors of the Chervonograd District Prosecutor’s Office sent an indictment to the court against the former director of the utility company and the director of the company on the facts of taking possession of other people’s property and official forgery committed by a group of persons based on a prior conspiracy (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 5 of Article 191, Part 1 Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that a contract for the purchase of a garbage truck was concluded between one of the communal enterprises of Chervonograd and the company. However, this truck was never delivered by the business entity.
Despite this, the defendants drew up and signed a false act of acceptance and handover of the goods to the contract. As a result, more than UAH 500,000 was unjustifiably transferred to the company.
At the prosecutor’s request, the property of the defendants was seized.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Chervonograd District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv Region under the operational support of the Ukrainian National Police Service in the Lviv Region of the National Police of Ukraine.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
