A collision between a Seat Ibiza and a Suzuki Jimny occurred on the Kyiv-Chop highway near the village of Kaidanovo.
The driver of one of the cars was hit by the impact. Law enforcement officers grabbed a first aid kit and ran to the scene to provide home medical care to the victims.
The 51-year-old from Ivano-Frankivsk suffered numerous injuries. Patrolmen put a pressure bandage on his head and a splint on his injured arm.
An 11-year-old son was also in the car with his husband, who had deep cuts on his arm.
Police applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding and bandaged the wound.
The 53-year-old driver of another vehicle was not injured. An investigative task force was called to the scene to establish the circumstances of the accident. A man and his son were hospitalized.
