In Lviv region in 2024, statistics show alarming numbers of accidents caused by drunk drivers. In total, there were 216 road traffic accidents involving injuries, resulting in 306 individuals injured and 19 fatalities. Police issued 9,473 protocols according to Article 130 of the Code of Administrative Offences, which relates to driving under the influence.
One should not forget the high cost of drunk driving – each incident can lead to irreversible consequences and tragedy. Society must realize its responsibility and avoid risks to ensure safety on the roads. Careful and responsible driving is the duty of every participant in road traffic.
