Under the procedural leadership of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, five members of an organized group were notified of the suspicion of illegal manufacturing and storage for the purpose of selling excise goods (part 3 of article 28, part 1, 2 of article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, employees of one of the companies established illegal oil processing and production of low-quality fuel.
An underground workshop for the production of fuel and lubricants was organized on the territory of the company in one of the villages of the Stryi district of the Lviv region. There, on special equipment, the persons involved processed oil into fuel. In the future, the oil product was sold at prices below market prices.
The production capacity of the “enterprise” made it possible to produce up to 5 tons of oil products every day.
During the searches, law enforcement officers found metal tanks, reactors with a refrigerator for condensing vapors, process pumps, pipes, tanks and other special equipment used to produce fuel. About 25,000 liters of oil products were also seized.
Investigations are ongoing.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the detectives of the Security Intelligence Service in the Lviv region, under the operational support of the Strategic Investigations Department in the Lviv region of the SSR of the National Police of Ukraine.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
