As the investigators of the particularly serious crimes investigation department of the Lviv Oblast police together with the employees of the Strategic Investigations Office in the Lviv Oblast established, under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Oblast Prosecutor’s Office, a 51-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Sambir District, having previously conspired with an accomplice, illegally crashed into the main oil pipeline passing in a forest massif near the village, and pumped diesel fuel for the total amount of almost 109 thousand hryvnias.
Investigators informed the perpetrator of the suspicion of committing an offense provided for in Part 4 of Article 185 (Theft committed by a prior conspiracy by a group of persons and under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of five to eight years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
