Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the acting director of one of the separate divisions of the state-owned enterprise Lviv Coal was notified of suspicion of particularly large amounts of property embezzlement (Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the official embezzled the property entrusted to him by the state enterprise, namely more than 3.5 tons of coal. The total cost of which is almost UAH 4.2 million.
Investigative actions are ongoing, the issue of selecting a preventive measure for the suspect and imposing an arrest on his property is being resolved.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by detectives of the Security Service of the Lviv region, according to the materials of the SBU Office in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
