Prosecutors of the Drohobych District Prosecutor’s Office sent to court an indictment against a 26-year-old local resident on the fact of unauthorized occupation of a land plot in a protected zone (Part 2 of Article 197-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that the accused illegally occupied a land plot, which is a coastal protection zone of a reservoir, without permits.
To do this, the man went beyond the boundaries of the land plots he had leased, plowed the above-mentioned adjacent land and sowed crops there.
During the investigation, the protective strip of the reservoir was voluntarily vacated and restored to its previous state.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Drohobych District Police Department of the Main Police Department in Lviv Oblast.
Note: In accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict.
