On January 10, at around 7:30 p.m., a road accident occurred in the village of Zatemne, Lviv District, on the “Kurovychi-Rohatyn” highway, leaving seven people injured.
Details of the Accident
Preliminary investigations revealed that a Peugeot 3008, driven by a 36-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk, collided with a Mercedes-Benz bus operated by a 39-year-old resident of Lviv District.
Injured Individuals
The collision resulted in injuries to the car’s driver and six bus passengers, including:
- A 17-year-old, 18-year-old, and 41-year-old woman from Lviv District,
- A 67-year-old resident of Lviv,
- A 28-year-old man from Lviv District,
- A 48-year-old man from Zolochiv District.
All injured parties were transported to medical facilities for treatment.
Criminal Investigation
Police have opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules). The article provides for a maximum penalty of up to three years of restricted liberty and a three-year driving ban.
Authorities are working to determine the circumstances of the incident.
