Under the procedural supervision of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office, an indictment against a 52-year-old woman was sent to court. She is accused of an unfinished attempted fraud, unauthorised construction of a building on an illegally occupied land plot, as well as aiding and abetting in the forgery of an official document and using a knowingly forged document (Article 15(3), Article 190(4), Article 197-1(3), Article 27(5), Article 358(1), Article 358(4) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that the accused tried to fraudulently take possession of a land plot in Lviv.
To do this, the woman applied to a state registrar with forged documents to register her ownership. The latter contained inaccurate information about the outbuilding – a shed – that allegedly belonged to her.
At that time, she illegally occupied an even larger plot of land and built a house on it.
Only then did she apply to the city council for the allocation of this land plot for the maintenance of the house. However, the defendant was denied this request.
Thanks to the prosecutors, the city community was prevented from suffering material damage in the amount of about UAH 2.7 million.
The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators of the Police Department No. 2 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv Region.
Note: In accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
