Under the procedural leadership of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, an indictment was sent to the court against a 41-year-old native of Kyiv for attempted murder of two or more people, committed in a manner dangerous to the lives of many people, for selfish reasons, intentional damage to someone else’s property by means of explosion and carrying ) .
The investigation established that at the beginning of May of this year, the accused received almost one and a half million hryvnias from two men in Kyiv for the purchase and delivery of cars to Ukraine. A few weeks later, the defendant, together with the buyers and two other persons, went to the Lviv region for alleged customs clearance of the purchased cars.
When the defendant’s car with buyers stopped at a parking lot near one of the villages of the Lviv region, the defendant put a bag containing an F-1 grenade on the front seat. The man activated it and moved to a safe distance. An explosion rang out inside the car, as a result of which four people who were in the car at the time received physical injuries of varying degrees of severity.
The accused was remanded in custody without determining the amount of bail.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the State Security Service of the NP in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
