Prosecutors of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office in Lviv have ensured the actual execution of the court decision – a three-room apartment was recognized as an escheat and transferred to the ownership of the local community.
It is an apartment with a total area of almost 70 square meters located on Ozheshko Street in Lviv. Its value is over UAH 4 million.
It was established that the deceased owner of the property had no heirs. Accordingly, the real estate should have been recognized as an escheated inheritance by law.
However, prosecutors discovered that an unauthorized person had applied to a state notary office to inherit it. Accordingly, in order to prevent the unlawful acquisition of property, the prosecutors refuted the latter’s claims in court.
Thanks to the persistent position of the prosecutor’s office and the measures taken, the above apartment was returned to communal ownership, and the relevant information was entered into the State Register of Real Property Rights.
