The detainee, a 27-year-old resident of the Rivne region, faces up to eight years in prison for the crime. It was also established that the men were intoxicated.
As the employees of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 established, on October 2, a 27-year-old resident of Rivne Oblast, while visiting an apartment in one of the buildings on Knyagini Olga Street in Lviv, stabbed the 34-year-old owner of the apartment in the stomach with a knife. Later, doctors diagnosed him with, in particular, a “penetrating stab wound.”
The conducted measures also established that the conflict between the men arose during the drinking of alcohol.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 121 (Intentional grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of five to eight years.
The perpetrator was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, and soon the court will choose a preventive measure for him.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
