An inspector from the Lviv customs has been uncovered for organizing the illegal transfer of conscripted men across the border during martial law. The suspect used her official position to conceal individuals in a car, claiming at checkpoints that she was traveling alone. This way, she avoided inspections and crossed the border without hindrance.
According to the investigation, the woman received 3,000 USD for each transfer. It is known that at least four men were smuggled in this manner. The prosecutor’s office accuses her of violating Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding the illegal transfer of persons across the state border.
The investigation is ongoing, and the issue of taking the suspect into custody is being resolved. The case is being handled by investigators of the DBR of Lviv together with the internal control department of the customs. It should be noted that according to the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent until proven guilty by the court.
