A man of conscription age, who illegally tried to cross the Ukrainian-Polish border, was caught by border guards at the Hrushiv checkpoint in the Lviv region.
A 36-year-old resident of Zakarpattia region was heading to the neighboring country as a bus passenger. During the control, the citizen informed the inspector of the Lviv Border Guard that he was accompanying his niece, who has a group of disabilities. During the study of the provided documents, the border guards established that he had no grounds for going abroad under the conditions of the legal regime of martial law.
In order to get his way and cross the border, the Transcarpathian offered a cash “gift” of 1,000 euros to the border guard. The border guard refused the offer of a bribe and reminded the traveler of criminal liability.
Based on this fact, the employees of the State Border and Border Service of the Russian Federation sent a report to the National Police about the commission of an offense under Art. 369 of the Criminal Code “Offer, promise or provision of an unlawful benefit to an official.” The bribe-giver was handed over to the law enforcement officers.
