Last week, border guards of the 7th Carpathian Border Guard Detachment prevented a number of offences in Lviv region. Among the items found were forged documents, smuggling and drugs.
Last week, border guards found 18 invalid and forged documents. In eight cases, sniffer dogs trained to detect narcotics found drugs. Border guards prevented four attempts to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine and uncovered 11 cases of goods smuggling. In 69 cases, violations of border-related legislation were detected.
The border guards fulfilled 1,354 instructions from authorised state bodies. Nine cases were identified using the databases of the International Criminal Police Organisation (INTERPOL) information system.
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine effectively protects the Ukrainian border and is an integral part of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
