The Pustomyty District Prosecutor’s Office secured the conviction of a 33-year-old man for violating traffic rules, which caused medium-severity injuries to the victim. The defendant was driving under the influence of alcohol (Part 1 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and was sentenced to 2 years in prison and three years without the right to drive.

Previously, in 2019, the defendant was already punished for a similar offense – he was banned from driving for a year. The investigation was conducted by the Main Directorate of the National Police of the Lviv region. The sentence will come into force after the expiration of the appeal period.
