So, on November 9, around 6:30 p.m., in the village of Duliby, Stryi district, the driver of the “Ruta 22” bus, a 67-year-old resident of Stryi, ran over a 77-year-old local resident. As a result of the accident, the elderly man was injured and hospitalized.

Another traffic accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. on the Lviv-Krakowets highway near Novoyavorivsk. As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the BMW car, a 17-year-old resident of Yavorivsk, hit a pedestrian, a 59-year-old resident of Novoyavorivsk. As a result of the accident, the man was injured and taken to the hospital.

Based on these facts, investigators of the territorial units of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
