Over the past day, two pedestrians were injured in Lviv

The police of the Lviv region once again urges drivers not to exceed the permitted speed, to refrain from risky maneuvers and to be careful when approaching intersections and pedestrian crossings. Take care of life and health!

So, on October 25, around 07:00, on Volodymyr Velykyi Street in Lviv, the driver of a Volkswagen Golf car, a 58-year-old man from Lviv, hit a 72-year-old local woman. As a result of the accident, an elderly woman was injured and taken to the hospital.

Another traffic accident happened around 12:40 on Horodotsky Street in Lviv. As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the BMW X3 car, a 40-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Yavoriv district, hit a pedestrian, a 33-year-old local resident. As a result of the accident, the woman received bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility.

Based on these facts, the investigators of the territorial units of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.

Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the events.
