Fertilizers for spring grain and oil crops for the 2024 season under the USAID AGRO program have begun

More than 200 applications for the issuance of fertilizers were approved in the Lviv Region.

In total, across Ukraine, USAID AGRO approved 7,621 applications for receiving fertilizers under this program.

In contrast to the August Program, the demand for fertilizers in November for spring sowing of urea was much higher. Therefore, applications submitted by farmers during the first day of the program (November 1) actually selected the entire volume of available urea.

In the applications approved in DAR, the status “Awaiting” has changed (or will change in the near future) to “Approved”. The issuance of fertilizers based on approved applications began on November 27.

The fertilizer issuing administrator is the Ukraine Grain Cooperatives Project (SOK “Zernovy”).

In the Agro Bot ZernoUA telegram bot via the link: https://t.me/the_agro_bot, farmers with approved applications can find out the volume of approved fertilizers (connection to telegrams occurs as warehouses fill).

Please note that other applications will remain in DAR with the status “Awaiting” for some time. This means that the application was not included in the main list of recipients. However, in case of refusal of any of the agrarians from the approved list, the following applications in order of priority may still qualify for assistance. In this case, SOK “Zernovy” will contact the applicant personally.

“The number of approved applications from Lviv region farmers is 230. I emphasize that this is the number of approved applications, the final number of fertilizer recipients will be known after the distribution is completed and may vary slightly. Therefore, we recommend that every agrarian of the Lviv region who has applied for the USAID AGRO Program to receive fertilizers for spring grain and oilseed crops for the 2024 season, check the status of their application in DAR. In case of questions about the applications, you should contact the DAR contact center by phone: 0443399215, 0442245933, or by email: support@dar.gov.ua,” said Tetyana Hetman, director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of Lviv OVA.

We will remind that according to the requirements of the Program, priority was given to farms whose owners or applicants are women.
