The Irish company Kingspan Global is investing about 200 million euros in the creation of a construction technology hub in Lviv

Recently, Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovoy met with Gene Murtagh, CEO of the Irish company Kingspan Group. Therefore, Kingspan Group has confirmed its readiness to invest 200 million euros in the creation of a construction technology hub in the city. It is expected that it will become the main export center of products to the EU countries, as well as support the reconstruction process in Ukraine.

During the meeting, the mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovy and the head of the LMR Investments and Projects Department Andriy Pavliv presented the investment potential of the Lviv community and the possibilities of potential cooperation for the Kingspan Group company. And so we agreed on the creation of a construction technology hub in Lviv.

The planned center will produce advanced low-carbon thermal insulation materials and building structures for district heating. According to preliminary estimates, it will create 600 to 1,000 jobs. Construction of the hub is planned for the next five years. The investment project is supported by the government office for attraction and support of investments Ukraine Invest.

It should be noted that the subsidiary company “Kingspan-Ukraine” LLC has been operating on the Ukrainian market since 2006 and is registered in the city of Lviv.

Kingspan is a public company founded in Ireland – a world leader in the field of energy-efficient building solutions, thermal insulation technologies and the supply of fencing materials. Branches of the company operate in 70 countries of the world, represented by more than 200 factories, where more than 19 thousand people work. Kingspan opened 5 new plants/production lines in 2021 and plans to open 25 more within 4 years.
