During April 19-21, the International Scientific and Practical Forum, which examines important issues of the hospitality industry in war conditions, is taking place remotely
Among the key topics: trends in the development of the tourism industry during the war, hotel business during the war: realities, problems, forecasts, as well as restaurant and gastronomic trends of the world and Ukraine.
The organizer of the event is the tourism department of the Vyacheslav Chornovol Institute of Sustainable Development of the Lviv Polytechnic National University. Speakers of the event represent Poland, Germany, Italy, Bulgaria and Ukraine.
Taras Lozynskyi, deputy head of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Lviv Oblast, spoke about the situation with the hospitality industry in Lviv Oblast.
“Now tourism is somewhat stagnant. This is the time to develop our tourism destinations and destinations, focusing on culture, tradition and history. Through travel, we can, in fact, introduce these areas to both domestic and later foreign tourists.
We are working on the prospect of restoring tourist flows, because Lviv region is the basis and the first point of reception for tourists for further trips to Ukraine. Therefore, communication with all market players should be established in order to ensure a hospitable reception and a comfortable stay for tourists, so that they can return again and again,” says Taras Lozynskyi.
According to him, the absence of tourists today is a time for preparation: improving the service, training personnel who will be able to provide prompt and high-quality services, including to people with disabilities. It is also worth directing activities in the direction of attracting investments in the tourist direction from airlines, chain hotels, and global tourist operators. It should be noted that such measures require state support and funding.
