The Lviv Regional Center for Hydrometeorology of Ukraine warns that in the coming days in the Lviv region and the city of Lviv, on May 17-20, the fire danger is mostly extraordinary (5th grade) and high (4th grade).
The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv Oblast emphasizes that under such conditions, dry grass can be ignited in seconds, even from a cigarette butt left.
Therefore, residents are urged to be extremely careful with fire in open areas, as well as when cleaning backyards.
“First of all, do not burn dry grass and garbage, do not light open fires near buildings, do not scatter cigarette butts on dry grass litter,” – said rescuers and reminded that it is strictly forbidden to build fires in the woods.
