It became known how the victims feel as a result of the explosion in the building that happened yesterday evening in Lviv. Two children were examined and released from the hospital, and the husband is in the intensive care unit.

As of now, the injured man is in the anesthesiology and intensive care department of St. Luke’s Hospital of the First Territorial Medical Association of Lviv. As the doctors reported, the victim has a broken collarbone and multiple rib fractures. His condition is serious, but stable.

The children were brought to the Hospital of St. Mykolai was examined, provided with the necessary medical assistance and released home, because they did not need further treatment.

Yesterday evening, December 23, a gas explosion occurred in a two-story private house on Knyagini Olga Street, causing a fire and the destruction of part of the building. As a result of the emergency situation, three people died and five people were injured.

Under the rubble, rescuers and law enforcement officers found the bodies of three victims: an 81-year-old woman and two men, 70 and 37 years old. Rescue services also saved 5 people (including 2 children): a 79-year-old man with injuries of varying degrees of severity was hospitalized at St. Luky, and an 11-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy were taken to the hospital of St. Nicholas Two women born in 1960 and 1989 were treated on the spot.

Rescue workers, law enforcement officers, doctors, workers of communal institutions and gas service were involved in liquidation of the consequences of the emergency situation. In total, 137 people and 44 units of special equipment worked at the scene.

Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the event and the causes of the explosion, and examinations have been scheduled.
