The other day, our partners from the Dolgobychiv commune of the Grubeszów County of the Republic of Poland visited the Sokal City Council.
Our friends came with gifts – the Poles brought fire-fighting equipment for the Sokal local fire department – fire-resistant suits, helmets, shoes worth about 100,000 hryvnias.
The head of the Dolgobychiv commune, Grzegosh Drevnyk, together with the mayor Serhiy Kasyan, discussed the writing of a joint international project within the framework of “Interreg Poland-Ukraine”. In addition, our friends came with gifts.
Also, our partners from the Ostrolen City Council (Head of Emergency Situations Department Mariusz Žievsky with volunteers) brought humanitarian aid – food, drinking water, medicines, water purification products. All this was transferred by the volunteers of the BF “Caritas-Sokal” to the south of Ukraine for people who suffered as a result of flooding.
We thank our Polish partners for their constant help and support.
