According to the Lviv Regional Centre for Hydrometeorology of Ukraine, on 18 July, due to expected localised precipitation, flash floods are expected to form on some rivers of the Syan and Dniester basins in the Lviv region, with water levels rising by 0.5-1.5 m, sometimes up to 2 m above current levels.
In some places, water may reach the floodplain.
In places of intense rains, significant local and slope runoff may form, and in mountainous areas there is a threat of local mudflows.
