Chervonohrad district: beehives almost burned down as a result of dry grass fire
On 18 July, at 16:07, the Rescue Service “101” received a report of a fire in the village of Kuty, Chervonohrad district.
Rescuers of the 21st State Fire and Rescue Unit of Radekhiv arrived at the scene.
As it turned out, dry grass was burning on one farm plot and spread to another, where there were beehives.
At 16:23, firefighters localised the fire and extinguished it at 16:28.
The rescuers managed to prevent the fire from spreading rapidly and saved 7 beehives from destruction.
Rescuers in Lviv region are appealing to citizens to stop burning dead wood. Especially in such hot and windy weather, the fire can spread quickly and cause damage.
We would also like to remind you that setting fire to dry grass is punishable by law in the form of a fine:
– for citizens from UAH 3,060 to UAH 6,120
– for officials from UAH 15,300 to UAH 21,420
