
Analysis of the Hydrological Situation in Lviv Region: Current State and Forecast
Overview of the hydrological situation on the rivers of Lviv region as of 08:00 AM on March 23, 2025:
According to the hydrological network, 0.2 – 1 mm of precipitation fell over the territory of Lviv region in the past 24 hours.
Condition of the Dniester Basin Rivers
- In the past 24 hours, minor fluctuations in water levels ranging from 1 – 4 cm per day, with a predominance of declines, have been observed in the rivers of the Dniester Basin.
- In some mountain tributaries of the Dniester, rivers have completely cleared of ice.
Condition of Lowland Rivers
- Declining water levels by 2 – 8 cm per day predominated in the lowland rivers of the San and Western Bug basins.
- The water temperature in the mountain tributaries of the Dniester ranged from 0.6 – 3.2°, while in the rest of the region’s rivers, it was 3.8 – 7.4°.
