Sambir district: firefighters together with the local fire brigade saved a house from destruction by fire
On 16 November, at 04:45, the Rescue Service “101” received a report of a fire in the town of Staryi Sambir on Hayova Street, Sambir district, a wooden extension was burning.
Rescuers of the 27th State Fire and Rescue Unit of Staryi Sambir and the local fire brigade of Stara Sil village were sent to the scene.
When the firefighters arrived at the scene, the fire had engulfed a wooden extension and there was a threat of fire spreading to a neighbouring building.
Rescuers acted quickly and prevented the fire from spreading.
The fire was contained at 05:07 and extinguished at 05:49.
Six rescuers and two units of special equipment were engaged in the fire.
